Alright, I've been thinking about [link] this [/link] tidbit of information, and making a (admitedly decent sized) assumption- "What if this applys to moves like Blaster or Samus's missile, or even Bowser's fire breath?"

One thing that comes to mind, if this is true... If they can jump while firing, presumaby they can land, still firing... which kills the entire purpose of the short-hop-laser, canceling the attack lag early.

Bowser's flame cancel (although fixed in later versions) also would be canceled by this.

However, this also means you would be able to run around while mashing B as fox, and as long as your blaster stayed out, Fox would stilll be using blaster. You can move and jump, but in order to do any other attack, you would have to put the gun away. (This also applys to Bowser's flame as well)

Can anyone see flaws not already pointed out?

Everything will work out once brawl come's out. Some techniques will die and new one's will also be born. Though i doubt what you say is true... I think moving while you shoot only applys to items.

If you hold -> while pushing B, guess what happens!

You sure as hell don't run while shooting.

In melee, if you press < while already spamming blaster, you don't illusion until the blaster goes away.

Same goes for Bowser's fire breath, and even Marth and Roy's dancing blade (although those last ones incorporate the changing directions)

Dancing Blade was a <B that allowed you to press other directions AND B while still doing the same move.

Bowser's fire breath keeps you from using any other move.

What's wrong with adding the two together?

From what I gathered from skimming over your text, you seem to think Fox will be able to run around shooting his blaster... yeah, no chance of that happening. No chance. Ever. Common sense dictates it can't.

Title: Run and gun. First paragraph: does this apply to blaster?

...you said it, not me.

Then click the provided link, to the smash bros update.

If it's good enough for the super scope, why not the blaster?

Even if you could still run around while shooting your blaster, you would still need to put it away. So why not still SHL to cancel the lag? I dont think you could run one way and auto change directions while shooting like you can with RSHL. (Assuming Brawl acts like mellee). So with those assumptions, SHL is will still be good to use.

Because if you can land while shooting, you can presumably land while putting the weapon away, and still be stuck with the "putting away" animation.
