It seems like Nairo can get the earlier hits to kill from up-b on Shiek, Mewtwo and Bayonetta and probably more...

Is it really bad DI from pro's like Void and Abadango?

Or is Nairo hitting with a certain part of the hitbox? or perhaps wiggling the joystick up?

He's just using his rage to kill with the multi hits on up b instead of the last hit. It works better because the multi hits hit at a much more vertical angle than the last hit.
