Uhhhh, I'm RiKu. I'm a midwestern smash player from the southern Illinois area. I used to play a ton back in college circa 2010-2012, but I started becoming really busy with my work life and other aspects of my social life and stopped. I just recently got back into the scene after watching HBox vs Armada at Dreamhack. It really sparked my interest again for the game and though I've never done competitive before, I want to now haha. I am a long long long time competitive Counterstrike player and have had some success in that regard, but it's growing stale as of late and I'm on to bigger and better things in Smash :3. I have traditionally mained all versions of the game as Yoshi, but I will probably be toying around with a lot of characters now until I find a comfortable fit. When I was younger, Yoshi was always my favorite character of the Mario games, having been introduced to Nintendo via Super Mario World to begin with. I use him in almost every game he is available from Mario Party to Mario Golf. I also am a big fan of the Spacies cause I've been a long time Star Fox lover. I have decided to join the Smashboards out of a recommendation from an old friend I've known through Counter-Strike. I am mostly going to use for learning purposes and to become aware of the tournament scene near me (if it exists x.x). I do plan on starting to attend tournaments when I start to feel comfortable in my gameplay and hopefully I can achieve some success. Get to know me :3
