Smash Rookie
What's up smashers? I'm Slickah and I've just joined SmashBoards! I'm new to this community but far from new to the game. I've been playing smash for as long as I can remember and it is by far my favourite game series. 
I enjoy smash 64 and melee, but my focus is on brawl. I was around back in the day when brawl on gamebattles.com and brawl clans were still a thing (yes i was a "WiFi warrior"... -_-). I won the playoffs to an early season on gamebattles and felt pretty proud about that. However, it's been a while since I've taken smash seriously. It seems like smash just kind of fell of the face of the earth to me. Call of Duty became my focus for a good chunk of my extra time, but it's become stale as of late with Ghosts. A lot of people I know are talking about whether to get a PS4 or an XboxOne, but I really have no desire to get either. I'm going with the Wii U for Smash 4!
After my friends introduced me to Project M (which was about a month ago), I've been playing with them ever since. I've been REALLY enjoying it and it's actually making me fall in love with smash all over again. I've also been watching VGBootCamp on twitch for their weekly Project M tournaments. It really makes me want to play in one of those but in my area. It would be so awesome if there could be a local smash scene. Unfortunately, as of now, their simply isn't one. I've only been in one local offline tournament... and it only had 19 people... and it was for smash 64... I did take first place though. :3
So, here I am! Just joined SmashBoards to get myself out there, to meet other fellow smashers, and to hopefully make playing in local tournaments possible. So if anyone is in the Ontario, Canada area, message me to get something going! :D
