Smash Rookie
So, yeah, I just joined Smashboards :D
I'm relatively good at Competitive Smash but you might label me as a noob since I haven't even been playing competitive for a year yet and I haven't played 64, Melee or PM. I played Brawl as a casual for about 4 years until Smash 3DS came out and I got into the competitive frame of mind. The Wii U release got me into it even more. I definitely wasn't amazing at the beginning and I'm not now either, but have been able to defeat a Lv8 or 9 CPU with relative ease for a while now. When I mean noob, I don't mean a For Glory noob type noob, but more of a noob experience wise. (I hate For Glory noobs for f*cks sake!).
To be honest, I just need to get better at fighting real people and reads. Other wise, I'm ok - I can do some OK combos and I know how to edgeguard... I'm just above casual in my eyes. I have started to practice stage-teching recently too although it still needs practise.
I would be grateful for any sort of strategy or how to get better at reading etc.. A training partner of about my level could be fun! Ask me if you want to be added. :D
