Official Wii U Adapter (Issues (?))

Hello all. Let me start off by saying that this is by no means a serious problem, but I've been playing with a PS3 controller on PS3 for some time now and never really ran into these issues before because of the ScarletCrush drivers.

I've recently been able to acquire an official Nintendo Wii U adapter, and after mistakenly installing (and then immediately uninstalling) the vJoy/Gamecube Wii U Software, I proceeded to install zadig as listed in Y-L's guide listed on Smashladder. My controller works fine (though no rumble support, guess I can't have it all) and operates about as well as I could expect, though I'm a little confused; am I not supposed to be able to configure the settings in Dolphin? I can't change any button mapping which isn't a huge issue, but not being able to change my deadzones is a little offputting.

I'm also unsure on this as well, but I feel like I should have a controller listed in my Control Panel. There's no listing in my USB devices, no DInput or anything of the sort. This somewhat ties into my Dolphin configuration mentioned before, because if I try to remap buttons in Dolphin, the only thing listed in input devices is M&K. This seems wrong to me, but I could be making an unfair assumption about the driver. If I can supply any information to help diagnose what's happening, then please let me know. I appreciate any and all input that gives me the information I'm looking for.

Also, and this is quite tertiary, but I feel it ties into the lack of a listing in control panel as well. I speedrun smash games occasionally lol and had no issue with controller display on my PS3, but because I don't have a DInput listing, padpyght won't give me an input device to select, rendering me unable to have a controller display, which is a neat little function I enjoy having for my stream.

Anyways, sorry for the disorganized rambling, as I'm a little inhebriated, but I'd appreciate anyone who can shed some insight on this. If I posted this in the wrong forum, then feel free to notify me and I'll try and contact a mod to have it moved. Thanks again!

Native support is designed to do exactly that, natively support the gcn pad and configure it to be exactly like a real system. You aren't supposed to be able to configure the deadzones.

Okay, understandable. I appreciate the help.

I'd like to find a way to get the best of both worlds in having native support /and/ being able to emulate the controller as a 360 pad (or any kind of DInput device) but if that's how it is then that's how it is.

Thanks again!
