I have no idea why I'm posting this. But I didn't see any other topics like it. Here goes:
As we all know that Brawl is getting more realistic. Graphic updates, gliding, and characters looking at each other. But how about this: You're holding the Home-Run Bat, and now it takes 10 more damage than normal to knock you off the stage in the slightest.
My theory: That in Brawl, holding an item may affect your character's weight. Also I have this strange idea that Wario would be lighter while holding in all that gas for the Wario Waft.
Reasons why this is possible:
1) Brawl is getting more realistic. In real life, if you're carrying something, you'll be heavier.
2) On a Wii game engine, it's most certainly possible.
3) Adds a nice little twist to the gameplay. Which, at Sora LTD, are doing, A LOT.
Reasons why this is stupid:
1) Kinda pointless, ain't it? (Maybe. But they put in Mr. Saturn as a practically useless item.)
2) Can't do that with games. Weight in games are set and can't be changed. (Wrong. It has been proven that you can do it. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and any other game with the Iron Boots is a testament to the fact that you can do it.)
3) I've read your other theories and they're stupid. (Your opinion. But this is a theory topic.)
So those are all the reasons I can think of. I you have any more, post them. I may consider theories yours and update.
Wow. Only 2 days of being part of Smashboards and I'm already raising hell.
