Mayflash functions identically and has the same amount of input lag. I'd recommend it since it's cheaper and easier to obtain.

I would probably use the official adapter. Unfortunately, I do not have experience with both because I was afraid to purchase the Mayflash. If I recall correctly, the Amazon reviews deterred me. More people had problems with the Mayflash.

I don't trust 3rd party hardware, as they usually break or malfunction in some stupid way(at least in my experience). Official products are the way to go without a doubt.

I got the Mayflash one because of its dual-functionality. Works like a charm for both Smash 4 and Super Smash Flash 2.

The mayflash adapter is really well built. I have it for months and it's still working like a champ.

Plus PC support!

Consider yourself lucky then. 3rd party hardware is too much of a variable as far as I'm concerned. At least with official hardware I've never had to worry whether they work or not, because they always worked and continued to work throughout the years.

Mayflash, because it has the duel functionallity, it's easier to obtain, it's cheaper (I think).

It also happens to fit nicely under my TV when put on top of my Wii U, which is always a plus.

Mayflash is much more accessible than the official.

And despite the worry about 3rd-party products, the Mayflash has a ton of positive reviews.

I would've purchased one if I wasn't lucky enough to locate the last one at a Gamestop somewhere.
