I'm not sure if anyone has posted has about this amazing game yet, but, dear God.

It's without a doubt a near perfect masterpiece.

I have but one problem with it.

The ridiculous slow down time when you fight a certain 3 bosses(which makes the game run at about 10 frames a second as opposed the 60 it's supposed to be).

Yeah, everyone buy this game.

I had no idea that this game existed, until I went into Gamestop and I saw it on the shelf. The fact that Atlus made it (the creators of Disgaea) and the artwork made me purchase it on the spot.

I'm on Ch. 5 of "Valkyrie" and I have to say that it's a pretty solid game. My only complaint is that the game design itself is kind of shallow. . .it's just lots and lots of button mashing against a bunch of different bad guys.

But the beautiful hand-drawn sprites, the great storyline, the ability to create items all combine to make this game pretty darn enjoyable. It's simplistic, but the game works. . .it's a bit like Gunstar Heroes in it's simple elegance and level of fun.

All beat em ups can feel like button mashers.

Anyways regardless of the gameplay (which I like, but not all that much. It's solid, but not totally my style). The story and music of the game just has awesome atmosphere.

Anyone know if there is an OST available anywhere? Because the music is like sex and the game itself orgasmic.

What I don't get is how he stands up with those puny legs and that huge *** arm.

Maelstrom, Disgaea was created by Nippon Ichi software, Atlus just published it. Same thing with this game, created by Vanillaware, inc. published by Atlus. But, yes, Atlus does have an amazing tendency to publish some ridiculously awesome games. For once in my life, I actually agree with Doodah - if they fix the slowdown issues with some of the bosses for Odin Sphere 2 (which I have no doubt WILL exist) it will be the closest to perfect a beat-em-up game can get. I'm still only on Mercedes, Chapter 5, and I'm really struggling getting past it (I really, REALLY don't like Mercedes) but I'm looking forward to Oswald and Velvet's stories.

Bro, when you finish with Mercedes, you're gonna wish everyone was her.

She's so bad in the beggining.

But then you realize that you can space the crap out of every enemy and go through her whole story without ever getting hit.

Yeah, I know that Mercedes is ultra cheap, and I think that's why I don't like her <_< It just sort of bothers me that you can just run around and destroy everything with her crazy crossbow of death. Also, it irritates me that I have to land to reload, and that every time you turn around, it makes a clicky sound that can sound kind of like a mandragora cry if you're not paying much attention. That's caught me off guard quite a few times <_<
