This is a Local Event Intended For Players In or Around Ocean County, NJ that are trying to form a small community.
I'm the Admin of an almost dead local smash scene on FB [like 10-15 active players and a bunch of other people who did play smash but just not recently] and im trying to rebuild our local community to get people back into the game. ***Read This*** {Official Date is Feb 15th 2014! Ask to get off for that day now xD}
This time we are bringing the 3 biggest (most recent) smash games together for one fun tournament event! With Smash 4 coming sometime this year i figured it would be a great idea [it wasn't even my idea ;P] to get people involved and go back in on the games we all enjoyed up until now and get our almost-dead local smash community back to life for the next game.
For anyone that doesn't know it will be located at The Portal Lounge located on RT37 kinda near fisher blvd and such.
Anyways so there will be a Singles 1v1 Double-Elimination Event for Smash Bros. Melee/ Brawl/ And Project:M {Play project:M! http://projectmgame.com/en/download )} And a Doubles Event if time is allowed for one of the three games depending on what people are trying to play. There will be prizes [$$$ most likely] for Top3 in all the pay to play events. A Free Crew Battle might happen after all the tournaments are over for the good old hyped up Smash matchs between 2 teams of all the players whom wish to part-take in the event.
There is no Venue fee [its free to walk in and hangout and play smash, but in order to use their equipment, like say if you want to do anything non smash related [like play xbox for ex.] you will have to pay the cafe in order to do so]
Singles Tournaments Entry will be $10 per tournament [i will try to make it so you could enter all three if you would like, Im going to be doing it in the order of Brawl 1st, Melee 2nd, Project: M3 3rd]
Doubles Tournaments will be 10$ per team

As for rulesets i need to find some, but we are most likely going to use the APEX2014 Rulesets used for all 3 smashs [will edit later]
it will be typical no items, standard stocks, timers, and team attack on, ill get more thorough details in a lil bit.
