So apparently according to this.

All the trophies have been unlocked in the 3DS version, But did anybody notice something very fishy. Characters that either
A) Have a lot of fan demand.
B) Should have trophies.
C) that are confirmed to make appearances in the game.
Do not have trophies.
So here we go.
Bannda Dee.
-easily the most requested Kirby rep
-Kirby's series equivalent to playable toad.
Metal Face
-Teased in shulks trailer.
-antagonist from exnoblade.
Ridley
-Teased to be the game in April direct.
-Became infamous with smash speculation.
-One of the most popular metroid characters
Issac
-former assist trophy reveal.
-popular character among smash fans.
Impa's current design
-from What I have been told It points out that the trophy she has in the game is her OoT model. Suggesting there are more.
RoyHe is already in the game The not playable one.
-many other cut characters have trophies.
-popular fire emblem character.

and some I most likely missed.
So, what does this mean?
There are many possibilities.
1) They just do not have trophies.
While this may seem most likely for a majority of characters on this list. But Ridley and Metal face our an issue with this theory. These characters are already hinted to be in the game in some form and since a trophy is the most basic form of representation in smash you would assume they have one.
2)They are to become playable later, by means of DLC or Wii U transfer.
This theory has been the topic of many speculation and leak threads. since cut characters like roy would make profitable DLC and Wii U transfer characters becoming a possibility, this could be a reason why some of these trophies were missing. The only problem for this is again Metal Face who is unlikely to be a character, but is not impossible.
3) Character are apart of Wii U exclusive features.
This category seem most likely for our devious fiends Ridley and Metal face. since these two were both teased to be in the game but do not appear on the 3DS version. The obvious response is that they are both bosses on Wii U exclusive stages. Personally, I think they were teased to much for them to just be bosses. Playable bosses are a very likely case, but it could be something even bigger. perhaps, These two are involved in the Wii U's answer to smash run.
(note Metal Face does not appear on the 3DS version of the Exnoblade stage. which is the same in both versions)
