I've never seen either of these images, and I'm wondering why there isn't a Megaman or another character, is this leaf the last 3rd party?

I believe those 2 squares the the nintendo ds logo? And the leaf is from animal crossing... I may be wrong though

Unless someone beat me to this, the leaf is from Animal Crossing, and that "wierd image" is the DS logo. There's a theory on this, search for "icon theory"
