Smash 3DS Now that the New 3DS is out, which 3DS systems do you use?

With the New 3DS finally being released around the world, I thought it would be interesting to find out which systems people are using for Smash (And other handheld games).

I obviously use my most recent one.

I use the only one I have had. The 3ds XL. Although I'm interested in trying out the New 3DS XL.

The original 3DS I've had since launch. Though I might switch so I can have working shoulder buttons, Xenoblade Chronicles remake, and actually train my Luigi amiibo.

Use to play on the regular 3ds then went and bought the new 3ds on release day and never went back,that c stick makes a huge difference.

I've been using the original 3ds since launch, and about two weeks ago my circle pad finally gave out and broke during a smash game...so now i'm waiting for my New 3ds to get shipped to my house. Its been delayed for days cause of the great weather in Wisconsin...

You know, I haven't touched the 3ds version of smash 4 in awhile especially since I have the wii u version. I was going to get that special MM N3ds limited edition but then Best Buy cancelled my order. Now I have no interest in getting a N3ds since the only exclusive is just a port (a port of a game I already own) so I'm fine with my 3ds XL (Pokemon XY red edition). I'll wait until they make another special N3ds (for my collection), hopefully my order doesn't get cancelled again.

I still use the original 3DS, but plan on upgrading to the New 3DS XL(Black) soon. One of the things I like least about Smash on the original 3DS is the location of the charging port. With it being that close to the R button, I can't comfortably place my hands on the R Button, and have a hard time shielding because of it.

Used a 3DS XL happily up until this release. Traded it in for an n3DS XL and am happy with it. The c-nub (I refuse to call it a stick, you don't even move it you like just rub it) is very sensitive and I'm getting very comfy with it. It makes a huge difference with a sizable chunk of the cast (how did portable Marth/Lucy players get by before this this seems like a godsend) so even minus all of the other very appreciable and necessary upgrades in the console I'd have been happy.

But better boot times, not completely useless 3D features, extra triggers, Amiibo support, and a cleaner design? Very happy. Totally worth the half-price w/trade-in.

I have the smash 3ds xl and don't want to trade it in but I am looking at still getting the new 3ds xl - though likely not for a few weeks.

The extra features make me want it as I do think I enjoy smash on my 3ds a little morw than my Wii u (in no small part due to mobility which suits my life style now).

If it didn't have c stick I would not be getting it I think.

I was trying to get a New 3DS XL to replace mah old 3DS that has a ribbon tear or whatever... but it's sold out everywhere here... So I had been trying to find one for like 3 days and since I don't drive and didn't want to bother anyone, I literally walked for miles each of those days, in the super cold, not returning till night, trying to find one... So on the last day I was like screw this and got a Normal XL and some other stuff cause I wasn't returning home empty handed... well empty bagged.

I still have mah old 3DS and IK how to fix it... but I'm too lazy... and I don't trust myself doing it...

I -would- use the New 3DS XL but you know how it goes, you can't seem to buy them anywhere right now!
So I guess I'm sticking with my 3DS XL. It does me good.

I just got the New 3DS as an early b-day gift, and I'm liking it so far. My only wish is that Nintendo would patch into the control customization the ability to switch out the stick from Smash to Attack like the Wii U version. (If anyone knows how to send feedback to them now that Club Nintendo is gone, let me know. Only using the stick for aerials when I'm using for tilts and aerials in the Wii U version throws me off.)

Based solely on Sm4sh, I see little reason to upgrade to the new one since I mostly play the Wii U version these days - really only on the 3DS version if I'm craving some play on-the-go.

Xenoblade looks dope, but waiting to see if the N3DS-only library is substantial enough to warrant the purchase. The new features alone don't really sell it for me.

I'd upgrade to the New model if I had any money. Gotta say, though, playing Smash on my 3DSXL definitely has introduced some wiggle into that slide pad... That's kinda what happens when your console is also your TV and controller.

I got the New 3DS XL mainly because of Xenoblade Chronicles 3D. I've transferred everything from my old 3DS XL so I now play all my other games on the new device these days.

I mainly use my red smash 3ds xl I got by day one. Surprisingly I didn't know there was such a thing until I conveniently walked into gamestop, I just had to buy it without a doubt. I still have my old aqua blue 3ds because I'm not like those people who trade in an older console for an improved version.

I still use the original 2011 model, but I may upgrade to the most recent hardware (New 3DS) in April or so.

I have the original metallic red 3DS, in it's shiny red Monster Hunter Zinogre alluminium case. So cool. <3

I might upgrade to a New 3DS XL in the future... That's if they start making more games for the N3DSXL that requires it's beefed up RAM that I REALLY want to play, or my 3DS breaks.

I use the New 3DS. C stick is great and the better online makes practicing online more effective.

Nothing much has changed. I'd say if you have an original 3DS or 3DSXL that is still in good condition, just stay with it.

Owning both, I don't really see a point in going back to the older model (Besides, perhaps, hacking.).

Unless you already got the older model, there is no reason not to use the "New" model 3DS'
