I wanna gauge the interest in this before I go ahead and decide anything.

So yeah everybody's mad about the delay.
Let's say I had the Japanese version of Brawl. I'd have it within the first few days of February (35ish days prior to the North American release)
$5 an hour $2 an hour? per person for vs play, a slightly higher than that but still undecided price for subspace emissary (since only two people can play that at once)
Availability would be pretty much every single day at all reasonable times, with exceptions for some stuff that could come up like work (But I'd probably try to get Saturdays off since I'd guess that'd be most popular with everyone)

Would you guys be willing to do this? It'd be in the Nova area, specifically woodbridge/dale city location. Whether or not I decide to do this is gonna depend on the reaction I get both on here and from advertising at some of the highschools here. Basically, I'll be in Japan for a short time for family related stuff Jan. 25-early February, and I'm considering picking up a Wii+Brawl while I'm there to bring back.

well idk if i would pay for that but hell if maybe one day you could bring to a smash fest or sumtin

or sumtin like that im sure people would show to play it i mean driving all the way there is costly gas so apying 2 $ an hour would just put more to the expense since maybe people from MD want ot play it

Bringing it to a smashfest, just... I know it'd be an extremely cool thing to do and everybody would love a chance to play Brawl early, but keeping in mind it's only 4 players at once... It wouldn't be very fun to be watching more than you get to play, at least that's what I think.

I'm not just trying to charge people to make money or anything, it's basically three things.
First is, I can't just have random people I don't know come over to smash with me all Feb.
Second is, whether or not I buy it is entirely based on the reaction I get since it costs money, it's a new console you know? The money is to help alleviate that somewhat (I think even if it were a popular idea with everyone I wouldn't make enough to pay for the Wii+game)
And third is, like I said if I bring it to a smashfest, it's gonna be more watching than playing. If it's four people hogging it to themselves for a couple hours, I think the money they're paying justifies that.

I don't know. I can see how paying for it sucks, but it's not really any different from something like E for All or any other event, is it..? You pay money for entry and play Brawl... except no lines here and it's the full game. I thought that like $10 for 5 hours of straight Brawl was a pretty good deal. I guess though that when you take into account how spread out across Virginia all the people here are, just the distance they have to drive makes it no good, huh?

I guess I'll get some friends to ask around at schools starting today and see whether it will be a good idea or not.
