Okay, im going to try to go about this without starting a flame war, but even though i am super excited for smash 4 there are a few worries i cant seem to get out of my head, and most of them have to do with it being underwhelming.
1. It seems to have no new form of attack. Melee added in the side special, which added a unique move to every character, and brawl added the final smash, and although not used competitively, it was a fun addition which added some awesome moves for characters that you would turn on just to have fun with your friends. Do you think that them not adding anything new attack wise is a bad thing?
2. the short story mode. I remain one of the few fans of the subspace emissary, and from what we know about smash 4's story mode it just seems like a step back. If it means that the game will be more balanced etc. its not necessarily a bad thing, its just my personal preference that i like to have something extra to do besides regular matches.
3. Little amount of newcomers. Okay, so i am not 100% sure about this, but based on interviews with sakurai it just seems like he thinks the roster is already reaching its limit, and will only add a few new characters while cutting others. Although it will make each character more unique, it will still be underwhelming that there wont seem to be much "new" besides some mechanics. What do you think?
Either way, i am super excited about smash 4 and will probably enjoy it for year to come.
