I've been playing Super Smash Bros Melee competatively for about 2 years now, but I feel like I'm starting to get burnt out on it. I still love the game and enjoy watching it too, but I don't know if I can keep going. I'm still going to play it, but I'm not sure if I'm going to be as competative. I've recently started playing USF4, and I feel like I'm having more fun with that, and that it's easier to analyse the game. I want to stick with Melee because of how much time I've invested into it, but I'm starting to prefer playing Street Fighter. My dream in life is to go to Evo, and just get out of pools. I don't care if I get bodied in my first match; I just want to be in bracket. Could you guys help with my decision? I know I'm the one who ends up deciding, but I'm just hung up on this situation.

It happens to all of us. There was time where I wanted to stop playing Smash competitively too. The answer to you question is ultimately up to you but if it were me, I would stick to Melee and keep going. If you are truly burnt out, you can take a small break by trying out USF4. If you want to go to EVO in USF4, just know you will have to put in a lot of work as well. No one is asking you to be the best at Melee right now. You can take it at your own pace and try not to get discouraged if you feel like you aren't improving because you probably are. If you truly love Melee, then you will find a way to make it happen.

Hope this helps

USF4 is going to die pretty fast once it releases, so you'll have to buy SF V and most sequential games in order to be competitive, as well as a fight stick. You don't have to do that with Melee. However, the SF community is larger and has strong Capcom support, so SF has that going for it. It really depends. Since you said you were burnt out with Melee, I think it's because you need to have other things to do besides Melee. Hope you come to a good decision.

A fight stick helps, but you don't NEED to buy one to compete. Snake Eyez is a top player who plays on pad because it's what he finds most comfortable.
After that, there's only going to buy Street FIghter V once and after that you'll get updates and characters as DLC.

This 100%.

In my experience, whether or not a fight stick works for you is going to be based more on what you're comfortable and familiar with. If you grew up with fighters in an arcade, then a fight stick with be more of a natural fit. If you grew up on console ports, then a controller works just fine.
