Wow I just got my *** kicked by a noob on Lylat Cruise.

The stupid platorms. I need my room to wave bounce and B stick and that great fun short hoppin stuff.

Oh im curious, are link Fsmash and just sword spammers supposed to be hard for ness? I hated that.

Lucas's wavebounce shouldn't be used for offence most of the time. It is something that can used for defense as well. on a platform level, nairs, fairs, uairs, and even your up smash becomes handy in this situation. I find it easier to fight on a level like battlefield than final destination. The platforms also help your dodge any projectile spammers. this is all IMO just to get that fact straight

On battlefield, Lucas's up smash can hit someone standing on the top platform. Found that out fighting my brother earlier today, it killed him, and i lol'd.

I don't like wave bouncing. I'd rather have my quick smashes and aerials cuz it's what I'm used to and i can just reverse short hop PKF for range offense.

Veng, it sounds like ur style is similar to mine for a generic level (generic meaning straightforward levels such as final d, battleifeld, smashville) and that style is awkward for maps with incongruities such as the tilt of lylat cruise. In this situation i find it helpful to focus more on lucas' Close range game with more Nair to up tilt combos than usual and like MTFFFG said, use backwards short hop pk fires to make space.

If the enemy is playing offensively, play defensively and wait for openings. If all he does is spam smash and aerials just shieldgrab him.

Not just on Lylat but on the first transformation of castle siege as well. I find that Lucas has a slight disadvantage on slopes that are lower than the horizontal median because it effectively disrupts his pk fire spacing and nair-ftilt approach.

Lylat Cruise is my favorite level to play as Lucas with. Enemies can't attack while they're caught in the air (because you can hide under platforms). You can hide to avoid d-airs, down projectiles, and it gives you a chance to use your very powerful anti air skills.

PK Fire is less effective on stages such as Lylat so don't use it as much. You'll generally have to play more offensively on small slanty, platformy stages like Lylat then you would on FD and others. It's not so much a disadvantage as an adjustment.

Tuckahoe, don't say anything...lol
As a Lucas user, I LOVE platforms. Lucas' attacks, especially his dsmash and upsmash, work to his advantage on platform stages. His dsmash has such a large hitbox, your opponent will end up jumping straight into on platforms, and it protects you because of its large hitbox. You can pull it off if he is below the platform as well, use your hitboxes, your dsmash and upsmash can seriously mess him up. I actually find flat stages such as Final Destination to work to my disadvantage, I hate that stage...his uptilt is also great, since it can reach the lylat platforms, is fast, and launches your opponent up
