Thought i followed all the steps...

-hackless method (3.6)to unhacked wii with legit copy of brawl
-empty sd card (2gb)formated to fat32(formated before files were transfered lol)
-deleted custom stages in brawl
-sd card not in locked position

But when i have the sd card inserted in wii and select stage builder.. Nothing happens. Im just visiting stage builder like normal with option to build new stage. I had assumed i was not supposed to have any previous files of pm just 3.6.

Help?

right, in that case there are more things we need to check off.

Are you using NTSC Brawl?
Is your SD Card 2gb or less? (and big enough to put the whole build on?)
Did you extract the files correctly?
What is on the root of the SD card?

Im not that ********.. Most of the time lol

Theres an untitled folder i made with the extracted files of 3.6

I guess im not sure how to check the root, i thought it was a default folder that would be labled DCIM or something like that but mine was blank before i put pm on it.

The root is the top level of the SD card.

You need to put the PM files on the top level, not in a folder.

So you will have the

apps/
codes/
projectm/
gameconfig.txt

on the root of the SD

Hey, I'm having kind of the same issue. I put the file onto a 2GB SD card, and load it up on Brawl. There are no custom stages. I can NOT get it to load. Any help?

Ah that was my issue thank you.

I misunderstood an unneccessary step to make a new folder to extract the files to and thought they were to remain in that folder and that the folder was to be put in the root. Putting the files directly in the root solved everything and pm works flawlessly now. Thanks Narpas for taking the time to diagnose this for me.
