North jersey Players/Tournaments

Im lookin for people to play smash with i have a friend with whom ive been playing smash heavily with for over 7 years and we think were pretty damn good and are lookin for some competition and/or friendly games. Id love to be in a tournament of some kind as well. IM in the Northern NJ (Vernon) area, were 28 years old. Any information/fellow gamers lookin to set up some games are greatly appreciated.

Hello guys, you're in luck. The northern NJ scene is quite active and has tournies pretty often. There is a tournament this weekend called Ranbats 2 in Jersey City NJ that you're welcome to come to. Here's a link: http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=293381

Alot of nonsense is spoken in there but watching/posting in that thread can keep you up to date with upcoming tournies in the area. Hope to see you at some of the tournies this month or in Febuary. Its never too late to join the smash community and we always welcome new players :D

Like Keitaro said the North Jersey scene is quite active. I was going to move to Vernon about two years ago, it seems to be about about 2 hours from me though.

All of the tournaments that Keitaro listing are fairly close to you. The closest smashers to your location are Doom and myself. I live in Montague, and he lives in West Milford. If I were you I'd try to make it to Ranbats 2. It won't be a giant event so you'll have a good chance to meet people and see how you do in the event. Just be sure to actually introduce yourselves to people you play, and to many people as possible to start having fun seeing people and stuff.

Also, ignore the NJ/NY power rankings thread. 90% of the time it's just a joke.
