Noob to smash

im thinking im gonna get brawl.ive only played melee for 5 mins.will it take a long tine to learn?what controller should I use.

Brawl looks like a good place to start, actually, since Melee is faster-paced and more competitive. Brawl is a new game with some new and some old mechanics, so you'll mostly be on the same basis as us Smash veterans. If you check around here now and then, you'll be able to catch up and see what new skills there are if you really want to get good. Otherwise, it's not hard to get the hang of a Smash game. Have fun.

Go for gamecube controller and pick a character you want to main, test everyone out and the one you really have a blast wif' go ahead and practice with.

ssb series has always been easy to learn i don't think that will change

GCN CONTROLLER! um, awhile if you want to be competitive, a month if you are a quick learner, or 6 years if u want to catch up to me...
