Noob back in the area

Hey guys, I've been smashing for a long time now, attended TG 6 way back in the day. I think I was the worst player there, lost all my games and friendlies, but it was a fun experience. After that, I went to college in Cleveland, OH and smashed a bit there too. I'm back home in the SF Bay Area, in Hayward, for the summer before I move up to Canada for a job opportunity. What are the big tournaments in the area? I've glanced at the schedule, but there are so many events to go through... I'm so glad that the Bay Area is primarily Melee dominant, btw. I've also heard that a lot of amazing players live in the Bay, like SilentSpectre, Waffles, and HugS.

I'm up for smashing with anyone though, I'm not all that great, but I'm always looking to play some melee.

there's going to be a big tournament in july in concord. that will probably have lots of the socal melee players as well as PC chris from the east coast and axe from arizona. the tournament is called "Good S*** German" and the thread should be on the first page of Pac West.
the same venue is going to host a tournament sometime in june (the 13th, maybe?). but there aren't a lot of norcal tournaments right now.
