Ok so i wanna start recording my Brawl matches and am a complete noob and don't know where to start. My TV is pretty close to my computer, so I guess that's a good thing.

I was thinking about buying this -
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815153002
It's cheap, and it does the job, I think. I also know my PC has an open PCI slot.

If anyone could guide me through all this, whats best to buy and how to setup, and basically how everything works. If someone could actually show me a guide to capturing video on your TV with your computer for beginners, that would be nice too.

Also is it possible to also take pictures with a capture card? I hope the screenshots will be better quality then using the bin2jpg program for Brawl.

From what I can tell....This capture card doesn't have White and Red inputs for sound, but has headphone jack for sound. Although you need to make sure you have a TV with a AV output.

If you do, you'll need a capture program that doesn't suck. I have an extra Sony Vegas Pro 8 and an extra Pinnacle Studio 11 if you need those.

Now, if your TV doesn't have an AV out, you're out [/pun] of luck. Although, you can get the same capture card I have, but it's not cheap: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8512415&type=product&id=1186005934754
