SOLUTION: Use the folder in my documents not the one in programs when putting the SD card in dolphin. Also, use the folder labeled 'Wii' found in the 'sys' folder if using newer dolphin version that don't have a users folder. Hope this helps.
SOLUTION 2: Make a 2GB virtual SD card
When I open boot.elf or the other file in the gecko folder, this --> htt p://imgur. com/NoJKybP (get rid of spaces in link for it to function) <-- shows up.
In the walkthrough video, there was a different screen that said melee 2.0 when they opened the gecko folder in dolphin. I downloaded the background.png file separately as advised and put it in the SD card along with the contents of the homebrew folder so I believe the problem is that the SD card is not loaded. It says no SD card detected when I start up smash bros brawl through the boot.elf file.
Where do I put the SD card in the dolphin file if not in the users file in a wii folder because there is no users folder, and if not in the 'Wii' folder in the 'sys' folder, where do I put it. If there is a different problem with it let me know because I am at a loss.
