Smash 3DS No Stage Builder?

The 3DS version has came out and no clue of a stage builder has been found.
Are there hopes for the Wii U version or the game is not big enough for two editors?

I personally think the Wii U version will have a stage builder component. Do I have any firm basis for this statement? Not really, no, unless you include the "stages you've downloaded" option found a few days ago that people were using to validate the theory of stage DLC. Stage builder just makes sense on the home console version.

I'm really really hoping its on the WiiU version because I loved using it. Just hope there is a lot more to work with this time around.

It's expected to be a Wii U exclusive but there's been no confirmation one way or the other.

Lying about my country.
I'm actually kinda expecting all of the iconic features to make it as Wii U exclusives.

Event Matches, Break the Targets, Stage Builders, I just bet they'll all be there.

I'm expecting Stage builder to be in the Wii U version.
Along with all the other big game modes that are missing in the 3DS version, along with new modes.

People have criticized the 3ds version for being rather barren. Something the WiiU version is sure to rectify.

When I first got Brawl back in 08 I loved stage builder... but I was like 12 and I'm not saying that age has anything to do with it but it's pretty boring to me now. If they improve it then that's great. More options are better. Personally I hope we just get some type of adventure mode... and let it have online co-op.

Could you post a picture or link to the source?

Also, my opinion on if the Wii U will have stage builder. Sakurai has said that the roster would be limited by the 3DS' capabilities, however, he has shown that there will be Wii U exclusive content. I think the stage builder is part of that content.

Yeah, I just searched up "smash bros stage dlc" and got this: http://www.gamerheadlines.com/2014/09/super-smash-bros-3ds-rom-dump-stage-dlc/

Like I said, stage builder just makes sense for the Wii U.

With the Wii U having it's game pad and don't see how they could pass up an opportunity like this for this smash. But if they are going to include stage builder then it needs to give us more tools. Such as more backgrounds to iconic games, more space and better platform pieces and lastly let is do transitions(stage change) during matches.

I'm not expecting scrolling or transition (thought I would like them) but built stages might have their own exclusive features not present in the official stages. Maybe someones coming from stages of the past edition, like say... The warp pipes from Mushroom Kingdom and the tornado from Zelda's Castle.

I don't think the stage builder will reappear on Wii U. It was a feature more suitable for the 3DS given its built-in touch screen and StreetPass. (Sure, the Wii U has its gamepad but just about everyone is going to be playing with the GameCube controller or this-or-that pro controller, apparently.) It would also seem weird to have an exclusive Wii U feature be an old one rather than something new to draw people in.

Why would they remove stage builder? Maybe because they couldn't find a way to do it that wouldn't be exploitable to modders again. Maybe they didn't feel like overhauling the artificial intelligence to allow CPU opponents to function correctly on built stages (we all remember "bounce on spikes till I'm dead" CPUs). Maybe custom stages would have given the debugging team and infinite number of variables to test and it would just take too much time.

Either way, there have been a few threads where people posted really good ideas for how to improve Stage Builder, and if the developer's ultimate decision was to just retire it, that would be disappointing.

You know: I would be fine even if the whole stage builder was gonna be a DLC. Not really happy but fine.

I would be all for Stagebuilder even if it is barren, simply because I could manipulate where the blastzones are, in the Demo in my opinion I have to say the ceiling is way to high....

Yeah, kinda reminds me of another great Brawl exclusive mode that was a great concept with some shortcomings and rather than working with it and making it even better, Sakurai decided to entirely drop it for some arbitrary reason.

Even a Veteran character got cut because Sakurai deemed them 'too hard' to work on, or 'low priority'. I'm just saying, if Stage Builder comes back, you shouldn't expect it to be good, since this man seems to dislike anything that takes a little too much effort.

I think there will be Stage Builder on the WiiU. I don't own a WiiU, but wouldn't the game pad make it easier to create stages (similar to how it works in Mario Maker)?
You can use your GamePad to create stages with the Stage Builder; according to the Amazon description.

Looks like Stage builder is all but confirmed. I will spend may hours customizing my super landcrawler map to pass the time... Hopefully I am not setting myself up for disappointment. I'm sure that the new 'Indirect' Smash Direct will clear up a lot of these doubts.

As far as ideals are concerned, I'd really like to see the stage builder return in the Wii U version.
I enjoyed playing with it in Brawl, and if it returns, one can only assume at least some improvements have taken place. And if it's back it's almost certain that sharing stages online is possible. They technically did this with Brawl, it was like, players sent in their custom stages and one was sent out every day to everyone who opted into this, it was called Smash Service, I think? Something like that. It was pretty limited, obviously, but Brawl could do it. So I'm sure Smash 4 could do it on even a slightly better scale, such as at least sharing stages with friends.

As far as the truth goes, the only evidence of it returning right now is the Amazon leak. Which I'm ready to believe. But it could be false. I'm at least willing to bet that if the stage builder is back, it'll probably show up in the Direct this Thursday.
