I have downloaded the hackless full set and wifi versions multiple times and neither show the background.png fIle in the list of files. I am trying to download 3.5. Is the background.png file needed?

No, it's not needed. It's a background image for the Gecko OS loader, which PM doesn't use any longer.

Ok awesome. I have been playing alot of smash 4 and I never played melee correctly just button mashed now I want to learn these technical skills that originated in melee. Project M let's hope you load.
