Hi guys ok i edited the first page lol

I'm going to hold bi-weeklies my friend is going to call this a "test run" but if i get enough people i can basically guarentee a bi-weekly

Board Game King (Yes... its a board game store..... but im using it for smash )

Seeding will be done by crews

Pools will be used in the ever so not happening event of over 32 people

Entry fee:

Singles:10 dollars
Doubles: 20 dollars(10 dollars per teammate)
Venue fee(ONLY APPLICABLE IF YOU CHOOSE TO NOT ENTER ANYTHING): 5 dollars
Store retains 50% of the pot and the rest will be given in the percentages
The store will retain 40% if the turnout is over 20 people
Singles(I dont mind changing this its just what i think it should be):

1st: 70%
2nd: 30%
3rd: Money back

Every other stage is banned

Each player/team is allowed to ban one stage from either the counterpick selection or the neutral selection the first game will be played through double blind pick or through the agreement of the players

The next game will be played in the following order:

Loser of the first game chooses the stage that they will play on
Winner of the first game chooses a different character if he/she wants to
Loser of the first game chooses a different character if he/she wants to
Process will continue until the entire round ends
All games will be best of 2/3 All "Final" matches will be the best of 3/5 games

Any moves that or glitches that can be used in order to stop the movement of a character is banned if you are found doing such an act you will be disqualified

Any moves that help the recovery of a certain character(i.e rising pound,peach's wallbomber) are legal but if you are found using it to excessively stall the match you will be disqualified

I expect everyone to stay respectful and not do anything "stupid" any disrespectful actions to the store owner or any other person(s) in the store may result in your ejection from the store.

If you have paid either the an entry fee or a venue fee you guys are allowed to take board games off the shelves and just play any of them if you dont feel like playing smash

Im in a shortage of tvs (im sure i have about 3/4/5) if anyone wants to play friendlies DURING the tournament i ask that they bring a setup

lol I misread your post as you were trying to convince your friend to enter this. You might want to set an initial date, but I'm definitely interested.

IMO make it monthlies, so it doesn't interfere with Scar's montly's and cheezits biweeklies, or actually just have it when theres not one of those, to replace smashacre, so theres always a local event, 10$ for both sounds great, bayonne is so expensive to get to tho cause of tolls.

personally i would like them to be weeklies but thats cuz i live like 4 blocks from it lol

personally it should be based on the majority of watever the people want

ill look at the time so it can possibly be like a supplement to the cheezits bi-weekly

any suggestions are welcome im not an elite tourney runner or sumthin so... yea... times date etc all those suggestions are welcome i only want a tournament to happen

My friend and I would definitely be interested in going, since it's not hours away... but I agree that they could be weeklies, just that during weeks where another tourney is going on (Cheezit's, Smashacre, etc), that it'll be more of a smaller/local tourney... but that's entirely up to you, isn't it? lol...

well i think the tourney is gonna be on sunday so it wouldnt totally get in the way if people want me to ill make a bi-weekly thats not too much of a problem

but yea.. its up to me.. but im not gonna act on wat i want.. because the majority should get wat they want

btw i have no idea on a starting date.. i need to come up with a decent list of attending people so i can convince my friend that its worth it to throw a smash tourney at watever times

if i get enough people i can assure people i will get a weekly started

well i see wat u mean but for people who live high up in jersey its more difficult to go to the ones in south jersey(i think thats where cheezit is...)

itll be on sundays cuz my friends hosts a yugioh tournament on saturdays

but like i said ill tell him to make it bi-weeklies if everyone doesnt want to spend money on weeklies

i mean smashacre/cheezits happen in jersey anyway and it looks like ill strongly lean towards doing it on the weeks that cheezit dont have a tournament

Hey guys i jus recently got able to talk with my friend im fairly sure about it i just need to talk about the Tvs and cubes O_O

on saturday ill post about other stuff

personally idc cuz its watever u guys want i was thinking around 1pm

lemme say a bit about the venue the place is a BOARD GAME STORE but he let me hold a tourney there anyway cuz he is mad cool

there WILL probably be a venue fee but im going to set it up where if u pay for a tournament it will include the venue fee

i know some people dont like to play smash 24/7 like me cuz i can only play it for a few hours straight so u guys are more than welcome to play on the board games its tons of fun

there is also a legendary 7-11 near me and tons of places to order food so no one should go hungry

My friend is mad cool and really generous about this if he lets this happen i expect nobody to disrespect my friend i hope that was obvious

if anyone would be willing to bring cubes/tvs to here they are legendary
