Nintendont keeps crashing every time I try to boot

I don't know why, but after I updated it to v5.480 it keeps crashing. I have all the necessary files and my Wii is 4.3U. It's worked many times before this. At first it would load to the option of SD and USB, but when I pressed "SD" it would just freeze and do nothing, like I pressed all the buttons, waited there, and it still did nothing. I also discovered when on the SD or USB screen when I tried to press down to USB it would automatically go back up, I don't know why. After that, it would just crash when it got to reading devices; it would go black and then either crash or g back to Homebrew Channel. I redownloaded everything, even getting rid of the old version and downloading a completely new one and it just doesn't work. I even downloaded a new version of 20XX 4.07++ (which I've been using) and a DIFFERENT SD card with Nintendont and it still didn't work. It worked all summer and all last year when I had it and nothing like this ever happened. I don't know what's going on, is there something wrong with it? Should I get another loader? Is this fixable? Or is this an SD card problem/Wii problem?
Thanks in advance.

If a newer version of Nintendont is crashing every time you try to boot, try installing an older version.

I recommend using this installation guide as it didn't cause any problems for me and SSBM runs just fine.

P.S. If the error "Kernal failed to load NAND", download IOS58 as a wad with a wad manager in the homebrew channel.

Nope, it just goes black and goes back to Homebrew screen. I guess I have to go back to the old version, hopefully it'll fix itself, otherwise RIP me ever playing Melee again. Thanks.

Oh, well, that's great and all but there's like no download site for older Nintendont versions, do you have a link?

Aw yeah, thank you soooo much for your help, I just randomly downloaded stuff and now it works, though it's back to old settings and now uses my GC Memory card for Melee save and had autoboot, which my old settings, so I'll have to change it. But still, thank you sooooooooooo much again! This means a lot to me.
