Nintendo Players Commonly Known Simply By Their Last Names

Most American Nintendo players/employees are called by their first or nick names. There should be at least one player who prefers to go by their last name because the Japanese Nintendo employees like Miyamoto, Sakurai, and Aonuma, insist on being called by their last names.

In Japan, people go by their last names.

Here in the U.S. only people in the military go by their last name.

Yeah, well, I was talking more about something similar to someone named John Cochran on a reality show called Survivor. He requests to be called Cochran because he thought the host calls his favorite players by their last names.

(I say Miyamoto, Sakurai, Aonuma and other Japanese would belong to the similar Cochran-style lineage.
