Nhl 2k9

Hey guys, just wondering if any of you would recommend that I get NHL 2K9 for the Wii.

Now, I love hockey. It's my absolute favorite sport, and I haven't had a decent hockey game since NHL 06 on the GCN. I want something fresh and new. I've seen reviews for 2K9 and they haven't been all that great. To be honest I wish that NHL 09 would have come out for the Wii. Tough luck I guess.

For those who have played 2K9, would you recommend it for a hockey fan? Or is it absolute garbage?

The only thing I really want is Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World because all the other games I'm looking forward to are coming out in 09 sometime. So if 2K9 is really NOT worth it, what else would you recommend?

Sorry man, all I can say is that having played the demos of both NHL 2k9 and NHL 09 on the psn I found NHL 09 to be much better. I got that one. It did not dissapoint in the long run.

If I had to pick between NHL 2k9 and no hockey game at all I wouldn't have an answer for you. I doubt i'd have bought it. The only other wii game I'd be interested in is Guitar Hero World Tour.

Thanks for the input. I think at the current price, NHL 2K9 isn't really worth it. But I'm kind of afraid that they'll never really have a better NHL game on the Wii. I really wished NHL 09 came out on that system...
