Newcomers should be unlockable

I felt like in ssbb that there were too many newcomers that we started of with instead of having to unlock. So in number 4 they should have us unlock characters like megaman and villager or whoever else. Start of with the Old characters, unlocking characters, to me is the best part of the game. They should also keep some secret.

Many would argue towards having the option to start off the game with all characters so they can start training with their favorite right away.
Personally I don't give a damn.

I think that Unlockability should be a case-by-case basis, some newcomers should be unlockable, some should be starters.

Agreed. And if we had to choose from the 3 currently known newcomers, I would say the Villager should be a starter, while Megaman and Wii Fit Trainer should be unlockable.

Personally, if anything, I think WFT will be a starter and Villager will be an early unlockable.

Problem is in Brawl all except Snake and Sonic were revealed as "starters". I'd say they are both starters and Megaman's the unlockable.

I'd take Wario, Olimar, and Meta Knight from the Brawl roster and add them to the unlockable list to give us more to unlock.

I've said this soo many times. Please let Luigi, Ness, Jigglypuff, and C.Falcon, over anyone else, be starters!! In general though I really dislike unlocking veterans. I think they should have all returning characters be starters and all newcomers be unlockables. Realistically though, I hope they keep the newcomer starters to a minimum and that if a veteran character were to be unlockable, they better as hell change them significantly.(ie. Ganondorf decloned)
