I wouldnt call myself a "pro" but I can give a tip.

If your going to use cheats or hacks to get your pokemon to lvl 100, dont use rare candies. They will make your pokemon look pethetic infornt of an ev trained or normally trained pokemon.

In the words of the guy from Two Stupid Dogs: 'Well ain't that cute...BUT IT'S WRONG!'

The reason that Rare candies were always an issue before is because people didn't Ev train them. If you Ev train a pokemon till all their stats are the way you want them, you can stuff them with as many Rare candies as you want and they'll be just fine.

. try to balance out your team (i.e don't have like a whole team of electric pokemon)

. keep your pokemon around the same level. Do not go through the whole game training only one pokemon. Variety of different types of pokemon will help you later in the game (elite four)

. legendary pokemon are usually very powerful but they are way harder to raise than regular pokemon. Dragon pokemon are the same. Keep this in mind while balancing out your team. *Hint* If you plan on catching a legendary or dragon pokemon later in the game I suggest getting the grass pokemon starter (bulbasaur, chik., treeko, turtwig) because they are very easy to raise and will give you more time to train your other pokemon. But thats just me.

May I remind you this is newbie tips, ev training then rare candies is ok but most "newbie" people likely dont know what that is.

Pokemon has a tier list too, take that into consideration. A well trained kricketune isn't going to beat a poorly trained gyarados.

Not a Pro,

1. Before you start IV Breeding, decide on the moveset of your Pokemon. You need to find out if you want to have egg moves on your Pokemon or not. Also it will help you decide which areas of IVs are most important.

2. Catch TONS of Dittos. To catch dittos, after you beat the Elite 4 and get your National Pokedex, talk to Dawn/Lucas to get PokeRadar. Next go to Canalave and go one map to the right. There should be a patch of grass there. Chain as many Dittos as you can! Put Magikarp in the front of your party as it has the highest catch rate in the game, making the Ditto easy to catch. *****If you need a certain nature, get a pokemon with Synchronize in the front of your party with the nature that you want. The Pokemon may be dead*****

3. Use your TMs wisely. Some moves are only obtainable by TMs (Stealth Rock and Grass Knot) that are really good. First always look if you can get a move on a Pokemon without spending a TM.

4. When you are finished EV training, do not get the Effort Ribbon. This allows you to change the EV Spread of your Pokemon if you so desire. This bring me to another tip, grow a lot of the EV deleting berries.

EV Deleting Berries:
-Pomeg Berry = -10 HP EVs
-Kelpsy Berry = -10 ATK EVs
-Qualot Berry = -10 DEF EVs
-Hondew Berry = -10 SP.ATK EVs
-Grepa Berry = -10 SP.DEF EVs
-Tamato Berry = -10 SPD EVs

5. You only need 11 berries to completely take out 110+ EVs.

...more to come!

Learn by yourself.

It may seem harsh, but I'm dead serious: only you can really teach yourself. You can get ideas from other people, but then what? you go with the metagame?

HELL NO!
