WARNING:
What comes here in the two first paragraphs is my personal opinion. If you just wanted to be kind and help a noob out, you can as well skip that part. Just go to the * ;).

Like a lot of other people I know, I first completely refused to play Brawl. I just didn't feel like trying to get good at a game that I believed anyone could become good at if they just put a little effort in. In fact, I've only played about 10 hours of Brawl, in February, hoping to convince me that this game deserved my attention. Failure; I didn't touch that game for a little less than 6 months. The Brawl release in Europe didn't make me change my mind about that game.

However recently, I saw some of my friends I used to play Melee with playing Brawl and really having fun: they had just discovered some silly edgeguarding and recovery tricks with Snake. Then only I began to realise that this game definitely was worth playing. I've decided to start playing it 6 months after I had first tried it.

*Now that I'm 6 months late of course I have some questions. Some I will probably find out myself by reading this forum thoroughly, others I think I might need your help. Still, I'll just post them all.

-Who is/are (arguably) the best player/s out there at the moment? Is Mew2King dominating like he was at Melee's end or is the professionnal scene more open to newcomers?
-Has the metagame been through any significant changes I should know before starting to play?
-More WASA by now? Guess there's sort of an official thread by now no?
-Has anyone dared publicise a Tier List yet (it's only out of curiosity; I'ma play MK and DDD anyway I think)?
-I've heard the online mode wasn't working too well. True or false?
-Anyone living near Luxembourg who'd like to play me in whatever Smash game :D?

I thinks that's it for now. Thanks in advance to all those who answer my questions; you're really helpful :)

Going to Gamelon. I'm taking the Triforce of Spag
- Everyone who's good hates Brawl, so there's only noobs and casuals now.
- Yes. Mostly the whining of elitists and the sh*tty arguments of noobs with fewer IQ points than they have fingers.
- What's that?
- There's a whole thread in Tactical discussion on tiers, all discussion of the same goes there
- It lags. A lot. I mostly notice the lag on With Anyone matches, friend code matches aren't that bad.
- Unless Luxembourg is a county in southeastern Virginia, sorry, no.

There is no official tier list yet so I wouldnt bother with that. The WFC is working good, bad, and decent all at once, It depends how good your computer is. If your computer is using a wireless router it isnt always reliable. Also if you were to play someone in Japan from the states it causes alot of lag.
