New to the community and ready to dive in!

Hey everyone, I've recently become extremely engrossed in Smash. I delved into the history of the best players (Rip Isai, I won't get hit), I picked up my main and a second (Jigglypuff and Ganondorf respectively), I've played over 300 online games already in maybe a combined 5 hours of online play, and now I'm ready for more. I want to learn how to get better, I want start going to tournaments, I want to make a name for myself in the community, even if it's just local, but I need your help. I'd love to find the recources to improve my gameplay myself, I just don't no where to look, and looking up local Smash tournaments has proved fruitless thus far. Any help is greatly appreciated and very much welcome. Here's to joining the best fighting game community out there!

Welcome man, glad to hear you found a passion for the game. If you’re looking for tournament play smash.gg is a great place to find not only locals but also online tourneys.

As far as getting better it’s all about practice, flesh out your mains and play them against all matchups to better understand your strengths and weaknesses for each character. Also work on combos, the to mix up the better.
