New to SSBM

I've been playing Smash 4 3DS for awhile and that was fun but I picked up a Dolphin emu and SSBM. I love it so much more. The speed of it is amazing. But question. Does anyone know how to set up Netplay? I really have no clue. :/

1. Get Melee and Dolphin *check*
2. Click Tools and start Netplay.
3. Voila! Host a game and give your opponent the code or input a code on the first screen to join someone's game. Netplay has never been this easy before.

Alright but every time I try to use the Dolphin Netplay, it crashes. I can't start the game after I'm all connected with someone. Do you think you can help?

Make sure you're using the same version.

I checked. We were both using the same ISO, same settings and same Dolphin.
