Well, I've just started picking up Fox and I was just wondering if anyone could give me advice on character matchups and technial stuff I really need to get down with Fox. Mainly, I wanna own my friends since some of them are arrogant pricks and I really wanna shut 'em up. Anyways, I've noticed my friends main Falco, Dr. Mario, Jigglypuff, Sheik, Fox, and Marth. It'd be nice if someone could give me strats on char matchups, top priority being Dr. Mario since that's really a major main my friends use. Anyways, thanks, and I look forward to working with Fox haha.

P.S. I've got some technical stuff down like wavedashing and L-cancelling, but I need help with some more advanced stuff like waveshining.

You should try your best to post a video or 2.
A lot of Fox players do that here and usually get what they want.

If what you need help with is as vague as match-ups, just take a look at one of the Fox guides, here in the Fox boards.

lol.

1. Video-tape it.

2. Record it on VHS then transfer it to your pc.

3. Use a digi-cam to record with the video-capture function...(in quick fixes this works best for me).

You'll figure it out. How do you record b-days? Use that method. :S

point it at the screen...

and hit the record button... are all these ******** questions really necessary? You can't really be THAT MUCH in need of help?

Maybe he just means a VHS player. Is it necessary to come down on him like that? That being said, maelstrom, try to reserve this place for smash questions. And if you want to get good with the technical stuff like waveshining then my advice would be to practice a lot.

i'm not coming down on him. Are you seriously telling me that asking how to record a match..the question alone; shouldn't be scrutinized?

I agree that the question is unnecessary and doesn't belong in this thread, I even say so myself. But when you say "you can't really be THAT MUCH in need of help," I see that as being personal. Unnecessary question or not smashboards is a resource for getting help, and we all have to start somewhere.

Nevertheless,

asking about HOW to actually record something isn't really the kind of help most would be inclined to give. Seeing as it is ridiculously easy to do.

Anyways, before this thread gets closed; lets address the topic at hand. Record the vids, put them up. Done&done.

Stop sounding like such a wuss.

Look under the video section theres plenty of information regarding recording & uploading.

I use a TV card for the comp (it looks like a sound card If you've ever seen one of those) which has two outputs but you'll need one cable with double-video audio inputs and a TV with 2 video-audio outputs, that cable is going to link your TV with your comp and all you've gotta do next is connect your GCN on the other entrance(output) and use a capture program to record (windows media should work)
