Yo I'm Shane. I started playing melee more seriously around 4 months ago and I'm looking for newer players that want to improve their abilities with some friendlies on netplay every so often. Post in this thread if you're interested!

Yo Toast, check out this thread. http://smashboards.com/threads/dolphin-online-melee-netplay.335432/ It should give you everything you need to know. You're also going to need a mayflash gamecube controller adapter which you can get here http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...d_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1RPQFNWDPD55WFQNEHG If you ever get it up and running let me know!

Like system requirements?
Minimum Requirements (2 player)
  • Core2Duo or AMD Phenom Processor (Lower Variants may need Overclocking)
  • nVidia 8xxx or ATi/AMD Radeon 4xxx series graphics card
Onboard can work, but we will not support/assist with setup. Your mileage will vary.
  • 2GB of RAM
  • DSL or Broadband Internet
Recommended Specifications
  • Intel Core i5 First Gen or AMD Phenom II
  • nVidia 8xxx or ATi/AMD Radeon 4xxx Series Graphics Card
  • 4GB of Ram
  • DSL or Broadband Internet
If your system can run it all you really have to do is get the melee iso and zadig to convert you adapters driver and you should be good to go. I legally can't help you with the iso but google might :smirk: oh and I have 4.0

Ima get the DC Netplay 4.0-652 version of dolphin, my pc can usually run melee 60fps. (I'm more of a visual person, that's why i may be kinda slow)

Maybe this will help. Open Dolphin>Tools>StartNetplay
Once you get to the Netplay config screen make sure you switch Direct to Traversal. Once that is all done one of us hosts a match and the other types in the host code to join session.

would you mind being host?

it's saying that my adapter is not detected, any info on that? my adapter is always plugged in and is working on my other version of dolphin perfectly

Sry for late reply was in a match. Download zadig to convert your adapters driver. You should really read that thread lol
i did but it still didnt want to detect my adapter, i read all of the threads you told me to but my adapter isnt a mayflash nor the official, it's a 3rd party i believe, it's a hyperkin 4 port

it doesn't show up when i modify the system driver on either dolphins

Hmm the same thing was happening to me when I attempted it but instead of clicking on settings>controllers I straight up just clicked the controller icon and it was there. Try booting up the game and see if the controller works regardless.
