My friend might have discovered a new tech. He was playing on for glory and foot stooled a dedede during its up special. My friend went up as if he foot stooled, but dedede continued the up special. This happened again with a lucario. we are calling it special stooling (save stooling if you do it off your friend in a team match).

This is just footstooling, the victim (for lack of a better word) doesn't actually get sent down or put into the footstool animation if they're already in an animation from another move. Here's a short video about it:
