So I was playing with Toon Link and I did his down tilt and pressed the shield button at the same time. It electrified the sword and changed the hit animation. Has anyone else noticed any move performing differently with any character by pressing the shield button at the same time?

All you did was hit with the sweetspot.

You hit the opponent with the tip of tink's sword during his dtilt. That move has a sweet spot that utilizes different properties, hence the "electrifying" sound you heard and alternate knockback effects.

Interesting... I hit someone with C. Falcon's knee while pressing shield, he screamed "HEEYA" and they went flying off screen.
I know the PMBR programmed falcon to yell "HYES" if holding taunt while connecting with the knee. Maybe shield does it too.

Take it easy on the guy people, my gosh. Tink has a lot of strange sweet spots that do some pretty strange things. Hell, I still freak out whenever I see Tink's Dair sweet spot.

Even though that one makes the most sense...
