Hello all,
I'm new to Smashboards, so yeah...Anyways, real quick just to get it out of the way, if you follow top players in the Melee scene and know who the old school Falco player is..that player being Forward then yeah, I'm Forward's older brother. Ok, now with that out of the way, on to my main point here. So I played the demo for Smash 4 on the 3ds and I liked it, then I watched this one guy play Megaman and I was impressed. So I decided that I wanted to start playing this game seriously, my main is Megaman for the 3ds and gonna be the same for the Wii U version. So the thing is I've played Smash 64 and Melee in the past, but not that much. I never took it to that high level like Forward did with Melee in the past. Now I'm looking to get really good in Smash 4, and this is the only game that I'm playing right now and will be playing for awhile. At least until the Wii U version drops, then I'll be playing both. My friend's brother came over to me and my friend's apt the other day and said he'd give us a Wi-Fi router. I need this router because we have cable at the apt, so with Wi-Fi then I can get some daily matches online to practice. The big question here for all of you that can give some help is this...
-What things can I do/should I do to get better at this game in a quick manner?-not just quick, but just to get better in general.
-I was thinking about buying the game Simon to play when I'm on the bus, I use the bus to get around a good chunk of the time. I think playing Simon quite a bit can improve my reaction time, this is obviously important in Smash...any Smash game really.
-I'm already on the ball about wanting to try and get out to regular gatherings of people playing Smash 4 out here where I live, which is Tucson AZ by the way. I also plan to try and hit up as many tournies as possible.
I think I've said a few things here that I feel are helpful, is there any other tips/advice whatever that you guys and gals can give me?
Thanks for reading this thread, sorry if it was a bit long...
