I just got an email from Nintendo Australia that I didn't expect to receive for a few months: an official release date for the new Nintendo 3DS systems.
It looks like my home country, of all places, will receive this new version of the 3DS much sooner than the projected 2015 release date. To be more specific, Australia and New Zealand will receive the New Nintendo 3DS on November 21st, 2014. Unfortunately, America and Europe still do not have a confirmed release date for the system.
