Smash Legend
I've had this idea for a while now. I apologize if this has been posted already, but it'd be hard to search for this since these sort of ideas don't exactly have one particular name.
Survival Brawl
You pick a character and stage of your choice. You also set the AI level. (I'd prefer it be a 1-9 kind of thing, rather than an Easy-Intense set-up, but either would work I guess) A no items option would be nice too. After that you'll immediately face an opponent. upon defeating him/her/it, another opponent will appear and fight. This goes on, repeating itself until you eventually lose. You'll eventually face each and every character, however, the line-up is randomly set. The line-up will repeat itself once you defeat every character in an until-you-lose cycle. In case you're confused, here's an example:
You begin survival mode facing Mario, and you will continue fighting all the characters until you reach Diddy Kong. In this instance, Diddy Kong is the last character you haven't fought. Once you defeat him, you'll face Mario again, and you'll continue cycling through that particular line-up. Now, when you play this mode some other time, the line-up will change. Perhaps you'll face Kirby first, and the last character of that line-up could be Pikachu. Each match would only be one on one, by the way.
Right, so, this is in a way a combination of Endless Melee and All-Star Mode. Like Endless Melee, it will keep track of how many KOs you've obtained. Perhaps it could also keep track of how much time your best run was, and how many points you earned. Why should this mode be in Brawl? Well, I think it would test how versatile you could be. You'd be facing various opponents constantly, so you may not be able to stick to just one strategy. And personally, I think it would just be really fun. To make things a little easier, maybe you could gain 25% back for every other character you defeat.
Unlike characters, It's kind of hard to guess what modes and such will be in Brawl since they're just ideas, and there's no way to tell whether or not Sakurai and his crew has thought about it. Really though, this idea is not very farfetched at all, ...atleast I don't think so. I'm actually hoping this is one of the many modes Brawl will have...
