Note: I posted this thread in the Falco forum before, but these things also work for Fox, so I decided to put it in both places.

I'm sorry if these things are already known. I have never seen them used and I have asked others if they have seen them used, and they have said no.

Well I was messing around today and I think I invented some things. Both of them I think can only be done on DK64.

The first thing is that you grab onto a ledge, drop while holding forward, jump, and then you can bair when you get back on the stage. What should happen is that you jump through the bottom part of the stage, then you back air as you rise up, or are above the bottom part of the stage. This can be useful if someone is trying to edgeguard you or something and is near the edge. You can just bair them off the stage and try to get an edgeguard for a kill.

The second thing I found starts out the same way. You grab onto a ledge, then drop down (a little bit more than the first thing I mentioned). Then you jump while holding forward. Now if you have done it correctly so far, Falco/Fox should still be under the stage. Then you do forward b. If you did it correctly, then what should happen is that Falco/Fox phantasms to the middle/opposite slanting part of the botoom part of the stage.

It's kinda hard to explain. Perhaps I can get a video of these things so you guys can see what I mean.

Again, I'm sorry if these things have already been invented.

Hmmm. interesting. I'd never heard of these particular tactics, but they do seem to have applications, are not hard to do, and can be used as mixups. I'll have to remember these.

that technique would seem like something falco could do.but a video would help me understand it better.

I get what you're saying. I have done this but not consistently. For the first move you should watch out for Falco's Dair. It would suck if it predicts what you're going to do and counters your move with a Spike.

The second move is also good.

These are good trick to remember when you play DK 64, cause that is not a good stage for Falco. These also work on Jungle Japes for friendlies.
This is not correct.

You cannot go through the platforms on Jungle Japes. What you can do though is drop from a ledge, then at the right time phantasm to the ledge on the ''main'' part of Jungle Japes.

You can also go on the farthest right ledge, drop, then when you get down by the water start your up b. By the time you get to the other side, you can go up to one of the ledges.

This is really common stuff and I've known about it for years...I can't believe you guys don't know what he is talking about lol.

You are hanging on the edge of DK64. Drop off and DI forward so that when you jump again you will land on the stage by jumping under it. Do a bair/uair/nair as you do this and you will often hit your opponent.

For the phantasm thing...just hit away then illusion on the stage in the middle...Marth with **** you if you try this though lol.
