New-ish IP Potential

Use this thread to speculate and discuss ideas about the direction you think Smash IPs (Especially the "worn out" ones) could take and what Ideas you think would be neat.

What would ya'll think about Duck Hunt having his own new game?.. I'd personally love to see a Banjo-Kazooie inspired adventure with plenty of quirk and humor (since unfortunately Microsoft has them chained to junkyard cars somewhere).

They can focus the shooting gallery mechanics that the IP is known for since the Wiimote can essentially function as a zapper. Or if they want they can have the shooting mechanics done through the Gamepad so the shooter can shoot at different angles (think 360 view) than where the character is looking/moving.

Smash can certainly be a great launching platform for Nintendo IPs. Some of the other IPs I feel like could be revived as well.
-Mother/Earthbound
-Ice Climbers (Coop heavy- Platform/Puzzle game)
-Fzero (heard somewhere it might be done for some silly reason)
ect.

Mother is finished, as in it had a definitive ending to its storyline with M3 and Itoi has no intention to make more.

F-Zero is on hiatus, and the fan demand is insane but Miyamoto stubbornly has stated in multiple interviews that he doesn't get why people want a new F-Zero and he doesn't want to make one until he has a new idea for the series. He thinks that currently they've done everything they could with it. That's just silly.

Photo Finder came out this year on the 3DS (Unless you don't count that as a real Chibi-Robo game.)

I'm one of the people who wants a new F-Zero game. What they can do is focus on the technical aspects of the game. 60FPS, high-speed, skill based racing with a robust online mode, a track editor, machine customization, all kinds of stuff like that. It could be a great alternative to the Mario Kart series as it would have the quality of Mario Kart, but not as random or luck based.

I'm really curious to see what could be done with the current Duck Hunt render. I quite like it as well as the humor attached to the character and think it would fit in well with a 3D Duck Hunt adventure game with some shooter elements.

Nintendo needs to buy out Capcom, so it can own the rights to Mega Man. Capcom sucks now, and NintendoSakurai has proven it loves Mega Man more than Capcom ever has in the past few years. With the 3D model for Mega Man, I can see a new game that incorporates open world and classic platforming. It would be amazing.

Mr. Game & Watch seems like he could make it as a platformer using his 2Dness and shadowy nature as gimmicks akin to Paper Mario, A Link Between Worlds or A Shadow's Tale, with humour much like the former.

I've always thought they could make something like Terraria or Steam World Dig with the Ice Climbers IP. Except you're climbing up a mountain instead of underground.
