New Here - Looking For People To Game With

Hello,

I've owned Smash on every console, but I've never actually been good at the game. I'm very new to Smash 4, I just purchased it about 2 weeks ago. I watch a lot of videos so I'm fairly familiar with terminology and techniques, but I can't actually do any of it in the game. Id also like to start going to gaming conventions and eventually compete in tournaments. So I guess, this time, I want to actually try to be good at this game.

I'm just looking for people to play with. I would really like someone to practice with in a competitive format. I guess ultimately what I need is a coach, but I believe that anyone who I play with, who is better than me, (which will be most people) will serve that function. My main concern is that I don't want to practice wrong and form bad habits.

I don't really have a main character yet. Like I said, I watch a lot of videos, and I do a lot of things to try and decide who I should play; but it's very hard for me to make that decision and I will forever be unsure. In the N64 version I used Link, in Melee it was Falco. I barely played Brawl, but I believe I preferred Falco or Lucario. In Smash 4, I've really only played with Little Mac and Falco but I don't know if I like them. I don't know if that says anything about my playstyle or personality or whatever, but there it is.

Hey, hello, there! Welcome! Maybe if you can't decide on your main, you should first try to pick a character that's easy to learn so you get more used to the game. Someone like Mario, Luigi, Sonic, ZSS, to some extent Little Mac or Ryu (if you played SF, that is) come to mind. They're all easy to learn and they're very solid characters.
Which platfrom do you play Smash 4 in? If you play on the 3DS. we can play someday, I can teach you a thing or two, probably.
