Hey, I picked SSBM back up about 2 months ago with a friend, we have been to a local tournament and got destroyed it was great fun! Anyway I'm surprised to see multiple new player threads every day even today, there sure are a lot of people still smashing. I play sheik, biggest problem I have found so far is finding a good controller! Is it easy to make one perfectly functioning controller out of 2-3 broken ones if I get a screwdriver to open them up? Cheers!

Welllllllllcome to the forrrrrrums, Leeeeeeean :shades:

As far as controllers go, I just know that the White controller has never steered me in the wrong direction.

If you wanna ride clean and ride slow, the White controller is the way to go :shades:

I can also recommend buying a new controller. It's important to have a properly working controller. When it comes to most things I'd say: just make one out of different parts, but when it comes to something like this, I say: buy a new one. It's incredibly annoying to just lose that one game because your controller stopped working. Then again, you'll need some work to get to a point where that matters (although it's awesome to see you can actually enjoy getting destroyed xD, but, once you start doing tourneys, you get better fast. So many different people, playstyles and things to see.... ) but trust me when I say this that a good controller is something worth investing into.

Besides that: welcome!
