I've been practicing every day for a couple hours a day, for about the past two months, and my controller is finally giving out on me with the bumpers and control stick. When I'm not practicing I'm just constantly working. I'm stripped of cash rn cause I'm trying to get my first apartment and a new car. Is there anyone that could possibly donate a controller? Or maybe someone near me that knows how to fix them? Cause I can't even afford to get a new controller in my current situaton

While I'm not in a position to donate a controller, I am happy to help you troubleshoot.

The stick mechanism used on the main stick is the same as the C-stick. With most controllers, you'll be able to replace the two mechanisms with a simple screwdriver (the really old models will require some soldering).

Note you'll need a tri-winged screwdriver to open up the controller.

Flip the controller over, there are two screws n the underside oyou'll need to remove which are holding the stickbox in place (they're just the standard four-winged ones).

Now remove the thumb caps, you'll find two black mechanisms holding the stickbox in place. You can un-snap the black bits by pulling away (they're still to be stuck to the motherboard but just not clamped down after you do this). Do this for both sticks and you'll be able to transplant the C-stick to the main stick. Because it's used less, it should give a tighter feeling.

Try this at your own risk, however. I've done it quite a few times and there are a few guides on Youtube as well in case I was not descriptive enough.

What's wrong with your triggers?

It could use a new sensor for the analog stick, that's all
Are you having trouble dashing? Does the dead zone feel bigger than it should? I'm wondering because I want to start fixing controllers so this would be a good thing to know how to address.

It sometimes senses that I'm tilting it upwards slightly even when in neutral. The analog stick is tight too and doesn't shake, so I'm not sure why that's happening.

Wow, thats really weird. Usually a controller sensing tilt in one direction is due to a loose stick. You probably just have to change the stickbox and you'll be fine. If your rubber stick caps are in good shape it would be worth salvaging them.
