New Controller Broken

So I just built this new controller out of the best parts from my others. I'm really happy with the way it works and looks, and it plays mostly great. However sometimes the L button is activated without me pressing it, this causes a lot of unintentional airdodges and shields.

Does anyone know what's up?

I'm kinda having a similar issue with my controller, actually. It's a bit old, but has performed just fine for the most part. However, if I press the L button in just the right manner (which happens unfortunately often when I WD), the controller registers my holding down the L button for far longer than I actually am. I've had a number of unwanted rolls and lightshields due to this.

Are you playing with Nintendont? If so, activate direct controller input in the settings.

If that’s not the problem, hold down the problematic trigger a little bit when plugging the controller cord in.
