New Characters?

Does anyone think they will be announcing new characters for Brawl ( Veterans or Newcomers)?

I certainly hope there will still be a few surprises left... (Sheik)

No one knows, there might still be characters. Infact, they might even make an update called:

It's actually a double/triple update that shows Jigglypuff also. Maybe another one for Luigi.

Well I think everyone would enjoy to see more characters, but how depressing would that be if there weren't.

If Falco is confirmed, he wont be the same. I don't think you will be able to short hop laser, because there is lag from aerial B-moves now (at least from what I've heard of the E For All Demo).

And however unlikely, I would love to see Megaman as well.

They don't even need to put it in the updates, but I need megaman in the game. Capcom has had its greastest megaman (and megaman X) games on nintendo consoles. So they need to have him in the game.

Cless your signature kicks large portions of ***. They look like new sprites, but I know most of the people in your siggy. Its from the supremely awesome tales of phantasia. I know cress, lester (the molester), mint, arche, claus, suzu (the rawest looking chick with the illusion patch thingie), and I think diaos or dios whatever the hell him name is (you know 3 transformations guy). What are the sprites from, the psp version?

And I personally thought that mega man X was the best game in the x series, but everyone is entitled to their opinion. Plus it had the hadoken, nothing is more satisflying then 1 hit k.o.-ing the mechanical spider with a hadoken.

Anyway, you missed Amy and Mirald, and Dhaos is the name you're looking for. The sprites are from Narikiri Dungeon 2 and 3 on the GBA. The PSP sprites are based on those sprites, but they aren't the same.

I just liked Megaman X4 a lot because Zero was fully playable (not that X3 nonsense) and he wasn't outrageously broken like in X5 and X6.

To be on topic for once, I think they'll only introduce whatever 3rd parties are left, if there are any, and maybe one or two more vets for starters.

I feel pretty sure that Sakurai is still holding back a few characters.

I honestly think Krystal (Star Fox), Claus (MOTHER 3), and Bowser Jr. (Mario) all have very good chances of having been added as playable characters.

That would actually be pretty good. Rather than showing ALL of the characters on the site. They could give us glimpses or sillouttes of veterans we are waiting for or the newcomers.

Fantastic "destroyal." You KIDS always seem to forget that the first Metal Gear was an Old-School NES game.

Original Mega Man and Bomberman would be awesome, since they were such staples of the original NES that really helped cement it as THE thing back in the day. (Mind you, so did Bubble Bobble and Tecmo Bowl and countless others, but, you know.)

I'd also like Andy from Advance Wars to show up so I can *brain people with a wrench.*

I just think that it'd be like having something similar Bowser's moveset with Mario's weight. It could be even worse than that, and they could play off the whole Shadow Mario aspect from Sunshine. Also, I just don't like the character, so I'm pretty biased. I'm a fan of Bowser's original children, may they rest in piece.

Well, before the game comes out, they'll announce the rest of the vets (Sheik, Capt. F., Jiggles, Luigi,). I'm not sure about Mewtwo, Ganondorf, or Marth though. They'll also announce the rest of the 3rd parties because they'll build massive hype. And after that, I have no idea.

The fact that we haven't seen Luigi up to this point is proof enough that we're still lacking character updates. There is a 0% chance that Nintendo would leave him out of the game. Then there's captain falcon as well. That pretty much clears the veteran table, as for Newcomers...Captain Olimar. Point Blank.

Yeah I think we are still looknig at a few character updates. Probably one around christmas and one right before the game comes out just to increase hype. I think there will be one or two more third party characters, maybe an additional one or two newcomers, and a few more veterans announced.

Falco. His chances of coming back are above 85%, so I wish they would just update him already.

yes, since they had to make everything up for fox, make up stuff for Falco. as for captain falcon, they can't replace him with black shadow. as for luigi, he's a smash icon, and unreplaceable. Cpt. Olimar is unique, and there isn't any reason he can't be in. Pac-Man eats, jumps, and punches, so that's not hard to moveset. Ganon basically is confirmed since they screwed him up the first time.

To be honest, I think Falco does not have an 85% chance of being in. I would love to see him in, but he was a clone character. If he did come back, he would probably have an entirely different move set, making him much unlike the Falco we have come to know and love. And as for Captain Olimar... wtf? Everyone is like in love with the idea of him being in this game. Pretty large rumor... If he is in, I can't imagine his moveset. What is he going to do? Throw Pikmin?
