Someone on Tumblr seems to have received this promotional e-mail from Nintendo.

Can anyone confirm if they got this or not too? I've seen nobody mention it, though it looks like something Nintendo would put out.

Seems to be something US users would get if they are subscribed to a Nintendo newsletter.

I think this was meant for the Shulk trailer today.

This actually read to me as "game is available midnight oct 3. for info on the new characters and stuff, go to the official site."

This was a pretty recent post though, it seems like it came after the Shulk reveal. Don't know the region of the Tumblr user who posted it though.

Why would Nintendo mention midnight for the game's release? That seems really strange. Each retailer would have their own discretion as to when they are open for sales. Unless this is specifically referring to digital downloads?

Well, maybe they plan to announce newcomers even after the japan release. After all, not everyone is going to look at things outside the official site. This one would probably appeal to western audiences.
