I know I'm going to get chewed for this but I think he would be an awsome secret character. Captian N has ties with the real world and the game world like Master Hand and he has even met with most of the characters (Link, Samus, of course Pit). This is what I think his move list should be.

B: Laser shot (cross between Falco's laser and Pikachu's thundershock)
>B: Super speed where you hold the b button and his speed increase
^B: Super jump Kinda like Mario's jump
VB: Freeze time but that would be annoying so it would look like he teleports (Don't let me
explain the Physics behind it).
Super Move: I don't know
Add some punch, and some kicks (maybe some pistol whipping) and we got a full phlege Smash Bros. Character.

In the ? Box that Mario must hit.
This would actually be awesome if Nintendo made a more updated Captain N. The old cartoon was a good idea if they actually made it more based on the video games, instead of just useing their names. And a present day teenager instead of an 80's/early 90's teen. It's super doubtful this would ever happen, but Captain N was a good idea back then (regardless of the crappy cartoons, they could of done well).

And his Super Move should envolve Captain N useing the Wiimote to fit with the current day style of Captain N.

Nintendo apparently owns the rights to him too, which is weird. Is DiC even still around? XD

And I swear... If Megaman and Simon are the last two 3rd party characters, Captain N would make the ULTIMATE Unlockable Fighter :chuckle:

EDIT:

Silly me! Captain N started as a comic in Nintendo Power, and was created by one of the staff members. NOA picked DiC to make it into a cartoon, but that was radically different from the original NP comics :lick: So, yeah, somewhere in their deep, dark vaults Nintendo has the rights to Captain N

Then Nintendo Power created a character that became a bit more popular than Captain N:

NESTER

Why? Not only because he appeared in a NP comic series called the Howard & Nester comics (which he was imitating different video game characters), but he also appeared in his own video game title for the Virtual Boy:

But that's not all, he also appeared as Lark in Pilotwings 64.

Well... Lark may have just been based on him :p

But Howard and Nester kicked a lot of butt together. Did you know Nester also appeared in the NES game To The Earth? It was a Zapper game that was essentially a first person space shooter. The booklet refers to the pilot aboard the ship as the Nester, though the game itself does not call him out by name (he's never seen).

Holy crap! That is the Pilot Wings guy! =O

Ah, you notice how Captain N uses the Zapper? I was kinda hoping that the Zapper would replace the raygun, or at least a new raygun. I mean, they have the super scope, so why not that? If it doesn't turn into an item, then I'm kinda thinking that Captain N would conflict over at Laughing Dog's thread discussion. Otherwise, I'd be all for him totally. Just outfit the guy with some new pants at least. =\ lol.

I guess Captain N has expired. I don't know. But for Nester, probably not, because of appearing in video games, as well as being one of the most unforgettable Nintendo Power magazine moments.

If Nester was in SSBB, he would probably either be imitating SSBB characters, the same way Shang Tsung (Mortal Kombat) or Charade/Inferno (Soul Calibur/Soul Edge/Soul Blade), or just be as Lark (Pilotwings 64).

Fair enough, but Captain N is a HUGE part of American video game nostalgia. True, he probably doesn't have a chance, but don't dismiss him so easily. It makes your elders sad.

Fixed for truth. Sakurai is trying to appeal to both countries.

I'm not saying he's going to be in smash, I'm just saying that you shouldn't be so dismissive. It can only end in tears.

you ever seen the Story-line for Smash Brothers?
Granted it's not written out and obvious, but it's basically a story of toys coming to life and fighting, not video game characters getting together, but actual action figures.
It can be a coincidence that they've all been video game characters, either that or since we all know the people behind smash brothers are lazy.

(Look at all the clone characters)

so now your saying Nintendo doesn't care about the rest of asia, the rest of north america, south america, afria, europe or Australia.

Look at the GCN that was deiently aimed for a japanese audience.

Clone characters are last minute additions and they are not toys they are video game characters represented by toys in the first one and in te second one they are represented by trophies there is no storyline in SSB or SBBM

How? He was useing a bunch of classic NES items. It's too bad the series didn't last long enough for the Super Scope...But thankfully it didn't last long enough for the SNES Mouse...

We can only hope that Captain N's inclusion will open the door for many Captain N characters, like the green Megaman, Game Boy, and King Hippo! If fact, why don't we just take out Wario and Mario and Pikachu and Snake and all of those other loser characters and just turn the game into Captain N: The Game Master Brawl!

My God...it will be beautiful.

Tom Nook is hardly a character and where does it say in the official smash bros rulebook that non game characters aren't allowed. We thought only Nintendo license Character were allowed and now look we have Solid Snake.

Oh, Walan Good One but I got to have my Link

I said "We have Solid Snake" Duh . I was saying that people thought Smash Bros. was for only Nintendo license Characters. NOW THAT WE HAVE SOLID SNAKE, that has proves we can explore other character options namely 3rd party, but this also means Captian N is possible. Oh yeah SharkX where does it say that they weren't going to use Japanese Only Characters.

Beside the point can anyone tell me how Captian N use the power glove. I'm only recalling from memory, and can anyone give a good super move for the Gamemaster.

I consider TOYS that become automated enough of a story-line for a fighting-type game. Toys that happen to be based off of Video game characters so far... just wait... K.I.S.S. will be in Brawl...

http://thewiire.com/news/341/1/Supe...Fan_Questi ons

The above link also mentions that all characters in brawl would have to be from a nintendo game (With the exception of Snake) So would that rule out sonic, or does he count because they bought him and released some god awful games on the Gamecube? I'm just glad they'll be no Crash Bandicoot.

(On a side note, can anybody tell me how to put more than one quote/reply in a message? People keep being immature and complaining about double-posting, but not a single whiner-baby has said how to reply to more than one person in one message, any help would be appreciated)

Another thing to point out, Captain N is the original Super Smash Brothers. All the different games in one show fighting it out and stuff. Heck, it had tons of the characters from Smash in it (Pit, Link, Zelda, Mario, Luigi, Peach, toad, ect.?)

They probably just stole the idea.
